It's not easy to buy an expensive wedding gift in this economy so some brides and grooms are making it a bit easier for their guests with less traditional registries.
"Charity registries are becoming a big trend with couples," Sharon Stimpfle, deputy site director of WeddingChannel.com, told Forbes in the video above.
Some couples register for experiences like a couple's massage or horseback riding.
For guests on a budget, Stimpfle suggests personalizing a gift that's on the registry, like putting cookies the couple likes in the mixing bowls that are on the registry.
"In addition to group [gift] giving," Stimpfle said, "we're definitely seeing an uptick where people aren't as able to afford the high-end registry items, so they are opting for small items and really filling them up with treasures."
