The Wedding Salon in NYC: Courtside

By Lauren Elkies

Large floral centerpieces, bridal headwear and party planner David Tutera were all the rage at last night's bridal trade show, The Wedding Salon, which this reporter attended thanks to Emily Anderson, author of "Eco-Chic Weddings: Simple Tips to Plan an Earth-Friendly, Socially Responsible, Affordable Green Wedding." Held at the Roosevelt Hotel at 45 East 45th Street in Manhattan from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., the event was filled with brides (plus some fianc├ęs), industry folks and members of the press. Vendors with booths included florists, dress designers, hotels and at least one bridal bouquet holder company. And Tutera signed copies of his book and posed for photographs with attendees.

The photos below, taken at the event, show a rose-packed centerpiece, a wedding cake display from a Harlem bakery and the bridal gown fashion show, including a woman playing the violin in a gown and a baby sleeping next to the runway.
