Boldly budgeting for the big day

Looking for more ways to cut costs come wedding planning time, Wedding-Scoops.com asked the woman behind the blog the Budget Brides Handbook to share some insights.

Here is what she tweeted @weddingscoops:

1. Plan, plan, plan... Creating a plan and a budget always helps to keep you on the right track. It will allow you to determine what areas are important to you and what areas you can do without.

2. Outdoor weddings are usually the best budget saver. Having your wedding in a garden or park will give you instant decor because of all the flowers.

3. Use websites like Vistaprint to print all of your wedding day stationery. Many times you will be able to receive some free offers that will come in handy in your invitation process.

4. Hire a wedding planner. I know many people think that this is a wasteful service. However, wedding planners have a wealth of knowledge and resources, as well as vendors who they use on a consistent basis which may help when considering the budget.

Its easy to stray from your wedding budget if you don't write things down and stick to a plan. Thanks for the advice!
